About Us

With years of experience in bid writing and consultancy, we’ve seen first-hand how businesses and charities struggle with the bidding process. Too often, incredible organisations miss out—not because they aren’t capable, but because they don’t have the right structure, support, or time to pull together a winning bid. We knew there had to be a better way.

That’s why Bids and Bloom was created—to give people the tools, guidance, and confidence to bid for themselves. We’ve worked across countless industries, helping businesses of all sizes secure contracts and funding, and we know what it takes to stand out. Whether you’re new to bidding or looking to refine your approach, we’re here to help.

Hi, I’m Gaby!

I founded Bids and Bloom because I saw too many businesses losing out—not just on bids but also on the support and structure they needed to succeed. I’ve seen consultants and bid houses take people’s hard-earned money without providing that extra guidance or helping them understand the process.

Too often, people dive into the bidding world without a clear idea of how to approach it, and I wanted to change that.

My career started in the charity sector, where I had the chance to work with organisations focused on bringing communities together. I hold a Law degree and a Master’s in International Human Rights and Terrorism Law, but my passion for helping people led me into the non-profit world. Alongside this, I had the unique experience of working at Bolton Wanderers Football Club, where I gained insight into the operational running of a business—two very different worlds that helped shape my understanding of how organisations function.

Over the years, I built up project management skills and was introduced to the world of bidding while working for a Community Interest Company. That’s where I really began to see the impact that winning public sector contracts could have on communities and businesses alike. I started writing bids to secure funding for programmes that made a difference—programmes designed to improve people’s lives and help businesses grow.

From there, I transitioned into consultancy, working with organisations across every industry imaginable—from startups to large national companies.

No matter the size or sector, I noticed a common thread: businesses were struggling with the same issues—either they didn’t have the time to focus on bids, or they didn’t fully understand what made a winning bid stand out. They didn’t need to reinvent the wheel—they just needed a better structure, guidance, and the tools to put their best foot forward.

That’s why I created Bids & Bloom—to give people the power to bid for themselves, with the right support behind them. It’s not about copying and pasting; it’s about showcasing what makes your business truly great. With the right approach, your bids practically write themselves, and you’re in control of your own success.
